Find out available resources
Resources are always available for anyone. Only difficult task is to find that what is available to you. Grants, scholarships and work study programs all are included in available resources at college. Don’t hesitate to apply any of these. This money is just for students. More often colleges don’t advertise these resources but these are always available. Do some basic work on these and I know you will get a lot of money to meet your expenses. Look at funds which were available to your parents or grand parents. I know there are many schools and colleges which offer grants and scholarships to grand children. This is your right so don’t let it be wasted. You should even focus on resources which seems like nothing to you.
Pay yourself first
Pay yourself first is something which should be on priority. Most of time you will not have a lot of money and several pending bills but you should save some money even for more difficult times. Follow this rule and pay yourself first and forget about it. I can bet that you will feel much better when there will be some money to help you in worst time. There are many hidden resources which can help you to pay your bills but these will be discovered when you will need money extensively.
Friends are great blessing so use them to save money
Friends are always a great blessing so share with them or share their resources. You can share your room with them to save big money. You are not only poor student in college. Many of students have the same status which you have. You can share your room with them to cut your expenses. All of you will save a lot of money. Your roommates will also be your best friends in future. You can share a single room with 2 or 3 friends. It will reduce your basic expense by 2 or 3 times.
Avoid luxuries and fix some limits
Don’t buy a car. Use other available resources to travel. Expensive or fancy cars have more expenses than ordinary ones. If you will keep yourself away from car then it will reduce your expense and will save a big amount.
At the end I shall say that all of these tips are very useful and easy to follow so you should work on these to live smoothly. Always act upon rule of “Pay yourself first” because I know that you can handle worst situation with that money.
